Teacher’s Day started with presentation of the School Design Project. All pupils prepared for this holiday for two weeks thinking of the best way of realizing their ideas on the project. And the results were surprising. Here is the list of some of the pupils’ projects: “House of a lifelong dream”, “Tree-man”, “Altar of daydreams”, “Paradise”, “Book forever – a fantastic alloy of dream and work”… “We wanted to reflect the beauty of leaf fall, warmth of the sunrays, fascination of the flowers,” (Sonya Gogonenkova, the project “Altar of daydreams”). “…a lifelong dream…, what can be more beautiful? We called our project “House of a lifelong dream”. Situated in a cozy corner of the school garden, our house delights everyone with its blue colour – the colour of the sky and dreams. The chimney of our house is directed high in the sky which symbolizes that we always dream of something unusual,” (4th form, the project “House of a day-dream”). “Everything was determined by the name of the project “Mirage”. Mirages take place in hot deserts of Africa. That’s why the project must involve the Pyramids, ancient Egypt and other things connected with them. Our fancy carried us away to a hot-air balloon flying out of the Egyptian pyramid. It was such an artistic image…” (6th form, the project “Mirage”). “…On the whole, the composition symbolizes a man’s course of life. A road in a very bad condition, full of rubbish, tells us how difficult is a man’s thorny path in “the world of ignorance”. But on this way one can also meet an entrance to “the world of knowledge”, marked with the sun circle, where there is a burning candle in the centre. This candle is the symbol of the teacher who will always accompany, help and support us… Some time will pass and a well-educated man will follow absolutely different road that will be more charming and fascinating.” (8th form, the project “Road”). “…autumn is a proper name. It belongs to a girl with blue eyes wearing a maple diadem.” (2nd form, the project “Tree-man”. “… the book has a lot of monuments devoted to it. There is another monument to the book now which we have built ourselves…” (3rd form, the project “Book forever”).
